Sarsi.   A very cool find here in Ottawa, Ontario.  Sarsi is a sarsaparilla soft drink (root beer I'd say) that is a product of the Philipines and found in most Southeast Asia countries.  The label says it is sweetened with sugar and/or high fructose corn syrup (HFCS).  Usually the HFCS leaves a soda very sweet, but Sarsi is actually nicely balanced!  Could use a bit more spice, but overall it's an impressive drink.

Stewart's Shops Root Beer

I found Stewart's Shops Root Beer on a recent grocery trip to Watertown, New York.  Stewart's Shops are a chain of convenience stores found in New York and Vermont.  They have their own brand of sodas and root beer is one of them.  This root beer is sweetened with high fructose corn syrup, which I'm not too fond of.  This root beer is very very sweet and find that the spice gets lost because of the sweetness.

Pappy's Root Beer

Pappy's Soda Pop Co. Root Beer -  Today in Ottawa, Ribtoberfest is a new festival that brings in pit masters from all over North America to feed us yummy BBQ.  Pappy's Soda also showed up selling their signature sodas.  Naturally, I had to try their root beer.  Save your money folks, unless you want a mug of pure sugar.  This one has so much sugar, I'm sad they even call it root beer.  I had to spend $8 for the mug of it, and sadly I'm just shaking my head at it.  :(
